Are you passionate about helping young people build confidence and prepare for a brighter future? We're looking for an enthusiastic and supportive Skills Tutor to join our Jobs Growth Wales+ (JGW+) team on a temporary basis (for approximately 12 months).

About the Role

As a Skills Tutor, you'll design and deliver engaging learning sessions and enrichment activities for young people aged 16–19 who are not currently in education, training, or employment (NEET). You'll help learners build essential skills, explore future career paths, and develop the confidence to move forward—whether into further education or the workplace.

Your key responsibilities will include: (please see attached Job Description for more details)

* Delivering meaningful, creative, and accessible learning sessions
* Supporting learner wellbeing and personal development
* Running practical mini-projects, volunteering tasks, and enterprise activities
* Travelling between local centres if required to support learners
* Inspiring young people to believe in their potential

What to Expect

What we are looking for


Experience


Experience of teaching/ delivery within a learning environment

Experience of qualification delivery


Qualifications & Knowledge


Good level of Math and English GCSE C or above (spoken and written)

Excellent IT skills with programmes such as Microsoft Office, Word and Excel


Skills & Attributes


Able to relate to the needs of young people

Able to work well with people at all levels

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Team player with ability to work on own initiative
