Mechanical Machine Build Engineer – Leicester
Job type: Full-time (37.5 hrs per week). Salary: £40,000–45,000 plus overtime, bonus, pension.
Location: Leicester (commutable distance required).
Responsibilities
* Assemble machinery in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and build procedure.
* Identify and rectify faults in collaboration with design and commissioning teams.
* Raise Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to refine and improve product and processes.
* Progress towards design engineering or commissioning engineering roles.
* Work in the build and commissioning team from concept to final handover of bespoke machinery projects.
Qualifications
* Proven track record in mechanical fitting and engineering assembly.
* Ability to work to drawings, specifications and build procedures.
* Strong communication and problem‑solving skills; ability to work alongside design and commissioning teams.
* Living within commuting distance of Leicester.
