Estimator – Construction Estimating Team – Solihull, West Midlands
The role involves supporting the tendering process, creating competitive bids that win projects while maintaining profitability. You'll collaborate with various teams to estimate project costs, identify opportunities, and manage risk effectively.
Responsibilities
* Estimating project costs and resources.
* Preparing tender submissions that minimise risk and maximise profit.
* Building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout the tender process.
* Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
* Supporting value engineering initiatives and collaborating with design, planning, and commercial teams.
* Participating in project handovers to ensure smooth transition to delivery teams.
Qualifications
* Experience working with a Main Contractor, ideally Tier 2 or above.
* Proficiency in Excel and estimating system software.
* Conscientious working approach with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to build collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
