We’re currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced support staff, or anyone with strong behaviour management and experience working with young people. As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in keeping learning on track when teaching staff are absent. You’ll supervise pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and create a positive learning environment where students can stay focused and engaged. The role will include: Supervising lessons across a variety of subjects Delivering pre-set work to whole classes Managing classroom behaviour effectively Supporting students with questions and engagement Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons We’re looking for someone who: Has experience working with young people, ideally within education, coaching, youth work, or mentoring Is confident managing groups and communicating clearly Can remain calm, professional, and adaptable Has strong behaviour management skills Is passionate about supporting students and schools Ideal but not essential: Previous Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant experience A degree or relevant qualification Experience supporting SEND pupils Thrive training or safeguarding knowledge Not Thrive trained yet?
