The role involves providing specialized bioinformatics expertise to support the analysis and data management of translational biomarker data. The candidate will explore publicly available data and emerging clinical trial data to generate insights into mechanisms of action, molecular heterogeneity, and novel targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct analysis of transcriptomic and genomic sequencing data from clinical trials.
2. Complement and develop scientific hypotheses through public data mining and analysis of in-house experiments.
3. Develop custom tools and analytics for data interpretation and visualization.
4. Contribute to scientific publications and presentations.
5. Maintain and enhance technical knowledge through self-study, conferences, and training.
6. Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with company procedures.
7. Operate in accordance with health and safety policies.

* Lead data analysis efforts, propose new analyses based on emerging data.

Person Specification
Essential Experience and Knowledge
* Proficiency in R/Bioconductor, Linux OS, shell scripting (bash), and programming (preferably Python).
* Understanding of molecular biology, immunology, or related fields.
* Significant independent research experience in academia or industry.
* Experience with NGS analytical pipelines.
Desirable Skills
* Leadership experience in managing small projects or teams.
* Experience with database development (SQL) and data interfaces.
* Mentoring experience.
* Knowledge of machine learning or applied statistics.
Education & Qualifications
* PhD in a relevant scientific discipline with 2-5 years of experience (postdoctoral preferred).
* MSc or BSc with equivalent research or industrial experience.
