Chef de Partie
Location: St Austell, Cornwall
Salary: £30,906 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent
We are looking for a passionate and driven Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at our client's busy restaurant, Hotel, spa and woodland retreat in the heart of Cornwall, near St Austell.
Set within a tranquil natural environment, our retreat offers guests high-quality, seasonal dining alongside exceptional wellness and hospitality experiences.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you will take responsibility for a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and service. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef in a fast-paced but supportive environment, contributing to menu development and the overall success of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
1. Running your section efficiently during service
2. Preparing and presenting dishes to a high standard
3. Supporting junior kitchen team members and fostering teamwork
4. Maintaining food hygiene, health and safety standards at all times
5. Assisting with stock control, ordering and minimising wastage
6. Contributing ideas for seasonal menus using fresh, local produce
About You
7. Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
8. A genuine passion for fresh food and quality ingredients
9. Able to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen
10. Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen procedures
11. A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
