About the Role
Life Sciences is a key growth area for JLL, especially within the UK & Ireland PDS Science & Technology team. This role is based in Cambridge with regular travel to London and other UK sites. You will work as an experienced Senior Project Manager, part of a specialist team, reporting to the UK Head of Project Management.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a seconded JLL team of ~10 resources for Move, Add, and Change (MAC) initiatives, including equipment relocations, new service requests, and laboratory/workplace refurbishment projects.
* Provide strategic project management and administration services for big pharma clients, ensuring delivery of projects in secure and controlled environments such as high‑containment laboratories, clean rooms, GMP, and research & development facilities.
* Deliver contract administration under JCT and NEC, using project management software tools.
* Act as service delivery lead within the PDS Science & Technology team, supporting business development and product offering enhancement.
* Provide leadership and line management to direct reports, aligning with business objectives.
* Collaborate with the UK Head of Project Management to develop and grow project management services for the UK & Ireland client base.
Education & Professional Qualifications
* Degree or postgraduate qualification in an engineering discipline, construction management, building surveying, or cost/quantity surveying.
* Chartered or Incorporated Member of a professional body (e.g., RICS, RIBA, CIBSE, IMechE, IChemE, CIOB).
Desired Industry Experience & Knowledge
* Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with pharmaceutical and life science clients.
* Experience managing projects in secure, controlled environments such as high‑containment labs, clean rooms, GMP, and R&D.
* Knowledge of MAC client requests and requirements in office and laboratory settings.
* Ability to provide project management and MAC consultancy advice, including contract administration under JCT and NEC.
* Entrepreneurial and business development skills to support service offering expansion.
* Proficiency with project management software tools.
