Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant – Permanent
As we continue to grow, Tai Tarian is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant to support the Grounds & Biodiversity Officer by being part of a team undertaking grounds and environmental maintenance tasks. The role involves creating a positive first impression of our buildings, land, homes, and communities by ensuring they are professionally maintained, generating an environment that is welcoming, safe, hygienic, and homely.
The position is permanent with a salary of £23,613.00 per year, rising to £25,439.00 per annum. As we expand to meet demand, there are opportunities for career growth in various technical and management directions, allowing you to forge your ideal job.
About the role
The Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant plays a pivotal role within our Assets Team, supporting the Grounds and Biodiversity Officer in achieving operational targets and service standards.
The successful candidate will work as part of our Property and Land Services team, following established objectives and processes to produce high-quality work safely, while ensuring accurate reporting to customers and colleagues.
About You
To succeed as our new Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant, you should have experience in a similar role and demonstrate the following skills:
* At least 6 months experience in ground maintenance or a similar industry
* A valid CSCS card and a strong, positive approach to Health and Safety
* A keen interest in the environment and Biodiversity
* Ability and willingness to follow job activities and processes
* Capability to deliver high standards of work within deadlines
* Resilience in challenging and conflicting situations
* Strong team player
You will also need a valid driving license or the ability to travel consistently throughout the borough. The role may require driving a company vehicle, and candidates will need to undertake a driving assessment provided by Tai Tarian.
