Main duties of the job
We are a busy, highly productivepractice, always looking to provide excellent care and services for ourpatients.
In general the post holder will beexpected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associatedwith a GP working in Primary Care such as sessional appointments, duty sessionsper week, home visits, telephone and face to face consultations.
Our GPs are encouraged to pursuetheir other interests. Within our current salaried GPs we have a number of GPtrainers, University of Birmingham medical student tutors, the lead trainer forthe local VTS, and a number of LARC fitters.
All doctors meet daily for coffee(the most important part of our day) we share learning ask questions andgenerally debrief about our surgeries.
We offer an attractive contract,including the BMA guided CPD allowance equating to a session per week (prorata), salary in DDRB recommended range (dependent upon experience), no extended hours work unless you want to (some people doactually request this). Workflow and lab links are equally shared amongst alldoctors on your working day, so no returning to piles of paperwork after annualleave and our system has two duty doctors each day to provide additionalsupport, and a large supportive team with regular social events. Many of thepartners started here as GP registrars.
About us
You would be joining a team of 9salaried GPs, with support from 11 partners, 5 ANPS, 4 clinical pharmacists and8 practice nurses.

Job responsibilities
We would like a GP to work 6 sessions per week, with astart date negotiable we will wait for the right candidate.
Responsibilities include:
Keeping of contemporaneous, accurate and legible records of all patientcontacts and contribute to electronic data recording and audit as directed bythe service.
Prescribe, issue prescription and treatments according to agreedprotocols and local guidance, within scope of competence.
Contribute to evaluation / audit, significant event reporting andclinical standard setting within the service.
Develop and encourage positive working relationships with our PCN, ICB,local GP Practices, housing, social work, voluntary services, drug and alcohol,mental health, dental, secondary care and other appropriate services.
Pursue continuing professional and personal development.
Participate in operational and strategic planning for the development ofthe practice.
Maintains GMC registration and license to practice.
