We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Segment Leader - Electrification for General Contractors. This role focuses on developing our position with a strategic group of national General Contractors and managing electrification low and medium voltage product line opportunities.
The responsibilities include strategic planning, business development, and cross-functional collaboration to promote ABB Electrification products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the electrification industry, preferably with knowledge of the national general contracting industry, and a proven leadership track record.
This position is remote, open to candidates across the US, with travel requirements of approximately 35-50%. Preference is given to candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones to better serve internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a pipeline of strategic general contractor opportunities by collaborating with sales and marketing teams. Meet or exceed the segment's annual budget and represent the company at industry events to promote electrification efforts.
2. Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
3. Conduct segment analysis, consolidate regional input, track trends, and develop strategies to win business.
4. Contribute to the technical roadmap by identifying customer and OEM needs, and work internally to address product gaps for the segment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
* At least 8 years of experience in electrification and/or data center industries; general contractor experience is a plus.
* Strong understanding of the general contractor market, including technology trends and regulatory requirements.
* Experience in market analysis and business development with a structured approach.
* Technical background preferred, especially in electrical contracting.
* Willingness to travel (35-50%).
* Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills with an agile mindset.
* Must have valid work authorization in the US.
ABB offers comprehensive benefits including health plans, retirement plans, paid time off, and other employee perks. The annual salary range is approximately $116,200 to $185,920, with eligibility for bonuses and incentives.
