Job Description
The purpose of the Team Leader Safety is to provide support to the Lamb Weston Environmental, Health and Safety organization within the Warden Lamb Weston facility. This position will report to the Safety Manager and is responsible for the following:
Key Accountabilities
* Provides technical support in the identification, evaluation, and control of occupational safety and health hazards.
* Develops and assists management in the effective implementation and compliance of the Safety & Health programs and procedures.
* Performs employee exposure monitoring, ergonomic assessments, and chemical procurement assessments.
* Maintains and calibrates industrial hygiene equipment.
* Assist management in the performance of work site Safety and Health inspections, correcting unsafe acts and conditions.
* Is a resource to the supervisors and employees so everyone goes home injury free.
* Supports and oversees the Safety Committee, providing guidance to ensure work streams and discussions are supporting the committee’s goal and core values.
* Develops EHS Alerts for distribution throughout the Lamb Weston platform.
* Analyzes incident data to determine trends, focus areas, and corrective actions needed.
* Trains employees on safety and health requirements to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Develops and monitors emergency action plans.
* Investigates incidents and prepares incident reports.
* Identifies potential causes for incidents and recommends changes in policies and procedures to prevent incidents and illness.
* Assists management to prepare safety and health budget.
* Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs workflows and procedures.

* The ideal candidate will be able to have flexibility in their schedule and work occasionally on an off shift (swing or graveyard shifts as well as weekends).
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
* This position is physically active throughout their day spending much of their time on the production floor, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and communicating with team.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferably in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Public Health or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
* Intermediate experience in a variety of computer programs such as: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.
* A self-motivated individual that is able to multi-task and lead others
* Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
