Accounts Assistant
* Location: Bolton
* Job Type: 9-month maternity cover contract
* Salary: £28K to £30K (pro rata for 4-day week)
* Working Hours: 9am to 5pm
Day-to-day of the role:
* Process and verify supplier invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and schedule timely payments.
* Act as the point of contact for suppliers to resolve any invoice or payment disputes.
* Generate and send accurate invoices
* Perform weekly reconciliation of bank statements to ensure accurate financial records.
* Investigate and resolve any unreconciled items and communicate internally to resolve queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in an accounts assistant role or similar.
* Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
* Must have experience with Sage software.
* Experience in bank reconciliation.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
