An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Caretaker in the day-to-day running of the synagogue complex, with duties that include cleaning, maintenance, room preparation and deliveries, overseeing and ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the building's amenities including security, Health & Safety and all equipment for optimum performance.
Main Duties
* To open and close the complex, when required acting as security at evenings and weekends when necessary and ensuring the complex is kept safe and secure at all times
* To carry out minor and emergency repairs within the complex
* To ensure the premises are appropriately cleaned & prepared as directed
* Provide all reasonable support and assistance to members, visitors and staff with a smile
* Report all emergency and security matters immediately to the Chair/Administrator and record any issues appropriately
The successful candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility and be able to work unsupervised. You will also be organised, have a positive disposition and be good with people. Previous experience in general maintenance and cleaning is essential.
