Assistant Producer – Cinematics (Outsource Support) Reports to: Principal Producer – Cinematics Role Overview The Assistant Producer – Cinematics will provide production support to the Cinematics team, working closely with the Principal Producer to ensure the smooth delivery of cinematics. This role is designed to augment the internal production team by focusing on operational support, data wrangling, and vendor coordination. The successful candidate will bring an in-depth understanding of game development workflows and a solid grounding in post-production pipelines, including motion capture. They will be adept at tracking large-scale productions using ShotGrid, experienced in handling complex data deliveries, and comfortable working with both internal teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities Production Support: Assist the Principal Producer in day-to-day production operations, helping maintain clarity across schedules, priorities, and milestones. Game-Cinematics Workflow: Support the flow of cinematic assets into the game engine, coordinating across animation, lighting, mocap, VFX, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration. ShotGrid Tracking: Maintain detailed tracking of assets, tasks, and sequences in ShotGrid; generate status reports and dashboards Data Wrangling & Mocap: Oversee motion capture and other large-scale data deliveries, ensuring sessions are logged, data is ingested and distributed correctly, and version control is maintained. Outsource & Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with outsource vendors and partners, managing deliveries, feedback, and alignment with internal workflows. Reviews & Notes: Attend daily/weekly reviews, capture detailed notes, and ensure action items are communicated and tracked through to completion. Scheduling & Reporting: Support the development and maintenance of production schedules, ensuring visibility for both internal and external stakeholders. Cross-Team Communication: Serve as a key bridge between cinematic production, creative leads, and technical staff, ensuring information flows smoothly across disciplines. Skills & Qualifications Experience: Prior experience as a production coordinator/assistant producer in games, VFX, or animation; experience on large-scale or AAA productions strongly preferred. Pipeline Knowledge: Strong understanding of both game cinematic pipelines and relevant VFX/film workflows (asset builds, animation, mocap, rendering, editorial). ShotGrid Expertise: Proven ability to manage tracking systems within ShotGrid (Shotgun) for scheduling, task assignment, and reporting. Vendor & Client Liaison: Experience working with external partners, clients, or vendors, with the ability to manage communications and deliveries at scale. Organizational Skills: Highly detail-oriented, with excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate across disciplines clearly and confidently, both internally and externally.
