Maintenance Manager – Keep Our Home Safe & Beautiful

What You’ll Do
This is a varied and rewarding role, combining practical maintenance with compliance oversight. You’ll be responsible for:
1. Building Oversight: Keep the home secure, safe, and well-maintained for residents, visitors, and team members.
2. Repairs & Decoration: Complete minor repairs promptly and maintain high standards of decoration.
3. Compliance Management: Lead on key safety checks and documentation, including Fire Risk Assessments, Legionella checks, and Health & Safety compliance.
4. DIY & Reactive Maintenance: Handle general repairs—fixing beds, replacing taps or sockets, hanging photo frames.
5. Contractor Coordination: Manage external contractors and ensure outsourced work meets quality standards.
6. Environmental Monitoring: Check water systems and room temperatures to maintain safety standards.
7. Emergency Response: Deal with urgent issues, including out-of-hours situations.
8. Resident Interaction: Build positive relationships with residents while working respectfully in a care environment.
What We’re Looking For
9. Experience: Experience in a building maintenance management role, ideally in healthcare or similar environments.
10. Knowledge: Health & Safety regulations, COSHH, risk assessments, and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
11. Skills: Strong technical ability, contractor management, and basic IT skills.
12. Qualities: Self-motivated, adaptable, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.
