We are seeking a Principal/Senior HV Plant Engineer in our Energy Team. This role offers involvement in diverse projects across various disciplines with clients nationwide, including HVDC, interconnectors, wind farms, substations, OHL, geotechnical solutions, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED, new builds, refurbishment works, and connection schemes.
The role involves working as part of the HV team for electrical substation design projects, collaborating with other disciplines, and supporting or leading FEED and detailed design for substation refurbishment, extensions, and new builds. Experience with key T&D clients in the UK is preferred.
You will join a growing, collaborative team committed to developing innovative and sustainable solutions to industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. This is a significant opportunity to contribute to the UK’s energy transition.

About You
You should ideally have a degree in Electrical Engineering, with experience as an HV Substation / Primary Plant Design Engineer. You should have a solid understanding of HV substation power systems and components, and knowledge of P&C aspects is advantageous.
You will be proactive, knowledgeable about the electricity transmission and distribution industry, capable of coaching others, and engaged with the engineering community to drive success through innovative solutions and industry best practices. Sharing knowledge and fostering teamwork are essential.
We welcome candidates from various technical backgrounds, including those outside the traditional energy sector, as we will provide training and development opportunities. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field is required.
