Overview
The Cambian Group, the UK's largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as a Specialist Occupational Therapist at Cambian New Elizabethan School. The school offers outstanding opportunities for boys and girls with Autism Spectrum Disorder, communication difficulties, complex needs and challenging behaviour.
Role Summary
This position is term‑time only and requires working autonomously within a full multidisciplinary team of clinicians, care and education staff. The successful candidate will play an active role in provision development and contribute to the improvement of the occupational therapy service.
Responsibilities
* Provide quality assessments, reports and needs‑led interventions for young people.
* Embed sensory strategies across the school environment in collaboration with staff.
* Provide supervision, staff consultation and training.
* Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support children and young people with ASD and learning disabilities.
* Assist in the continuous development of occupational therapy provision.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience working with an ASD client group (CamHS experience preferred).
* Experience with learning disabilities and complex needs.
* A degree or post‑graduate diploma in Occupational Therapy.
* Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and RCOT.
* Formal qualifications in Sensory Integration are welcomed.
