Surrey County Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead a dynamic and dedicated Family Safeguarding team based at Woodhatch Place, Reigate. About the role As Team Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and professional leadership of a team of qualified social workers and family support workers delivering services to children on Child in Need, Child Protection and Child Looked After plans. You'll support the team in making confident, evidence-based decisions, driving forward plans that are both effective and sustainable. You'll also play a key role in service planning and development, helping to embed a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement. You will work within Surrey's Family Safeguarding Model - a multidisciplinary, partnership-led approach that brings together specialists in mental health, domestic abuse, and substance misuse to create better outcomes for families. Key Responsibilities Provide strong, values-driven leadership and management to a team of practitioners. Ensure consistent, high-quality practice through regular reflective supervision. Oversee complex decision-making and risk management processes. Monitor and manage performance, quality assurance, and statutory compliance. Lead and embed a culture of accountability, learning and innovation. Promote multi-agency working in line with the Family Safeguarding model.
