Are you ready to help build the power systems that will drive tomorrow’s world?
Do you get a thrill from pushing silicon, magnetics, and topology innovation to their limits?
If you want to design power supplies that will define the next era of advanced applications — from quantum-ready instrumentation to cutting-edge aerospace and autonomous systems — then this is your role.
*Please note this is a Mid-level role paying a maximum of £52k + Bonus + Benefits. We cannot pay anymore.
About the Opportunity
My client are hiring for their Power Engineering team, focused on delivering high-performance, ultra-efficient, and mission-critical power conversion systems. The work you do here won’t be incremental — it will be foundational. You’ll be driving designs that break performance barriers, reduce footprint dramatically, and power technologies that don’t even have market names yet.
This is a chance to innovate boldly, own major design decisions, and see your creations come to life in next-gen platforms deployed around the globe.
What You’ll Do
* Design state-of-the-art power supplies (AC/DC, DC/DC, high-density and high-efficiency converters).
* Develop and validate new topologies and control strategies for future applications.
* Work with magnetics, semiconductors (Si, SiC, GaN), advanced thermal approaches, and ultra-compact packaging.
* Prototype, test, and iterate rapidly — your bench is your playground.
* Collaborate with world-class mechanical, systems, and embedded engineers to create beautifully integrated solutions.
* Push performance metrics like efficiency, transient response, power density, and stability to places they’ve never been before.
About You
You’re a power electronics engineer who loves solving hard problems and gets energised by real engineering challenges. You likely have experience with:
* Switching power supply design (buck, boost, LLC, resonant, SMPS, etc.)
* EMC/EMI mitigation techniques
* Prototyping, testing, and debugging hardware with confidence
* A desire to build something new, ambitious, and genuinely impactful
Why Join Us?
* Work on future-defining power systems, not just incremental updates
* Small, elite engineering team: your ideas matter and your impact is immediate
* Access to advanced lab facilities and rapid prototyping resources
* Competitive salary, performance bonuses, and growth opportunities
* A vibrant London location with a culture that celebrates innovation, curiosity, and engineering excellence
