The Role
We are seeking a confident and skilled Key Stage 1 teacher to take on a Year 2 class on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that support pupils in reaching end-of-Key-Stage expectations and preparing effectively for KS1 SATs.
The school has clear planning structures, shared resources, and a collaborative approach across the year group to ensure consistency and reduce workload. You will be joining an experienced and supportive KS1 team who work closely together to maintain high standards and positive outcomes.
This role would suit a teacher who is secure in assessment, understands the importance of data-informed teaching, and can confidently support pupils of varying abilities to make strong progress.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for:
A qualified teacher with strong KS1 experience
A practitioner confident in Year 2 curriculum expectations
Experience preparing pupils for KS1 SATs
Strong behaviour management skills
A reflective and organised approach to assessment and planning
A team player with excellent communication skillsECTs may be considered if they have completed placements in Year 2 and can demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge, although experienced teachers are highly desirable.
