About the Role
As a Delivery Engineer it will be your job to ensure that contractors are safely delivering the required assets on time, to the required Southern Water standard and within budget, whilst also making sure that the work meets regulatory and statutory requirements and maximising the benefits to Southern Water. Working within a team to provide support to other functions within Southern Water, you will be required to maintain all hired assets within the Wastewater function to minimise the risks of failure and to comply with regulations. We are ideally looking for an experienced Delivery Engineer with a background in managing contracts against time/cost/quality or Project Management to join the Wastewater team on a full-time basis.
What You Will Be Responsible For
* Focus on working with contractors and having a previous Wastewater experience.
* Have a clear understanding of the roles within the team and work cooperatively with other teams to achieve business aims, while confidently communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
* Handle multitasking, critical thinking, and provide resolutions.
* Be solutions focused with excellent knowledge of maintaining all assets within the Asset Maintenance function to minimise risks and adhere to Compliance.
* Provide support to other functions across the business while ensuring contractors comply with in-house standards and behaviours.
* Maintain projects in accordance with health and safety regulations, environment and quality standards.
* Have understanding of Wastewater processes and importance of continuously having assets in good working order.
* Have a full UK driving licence, experience in project and contract work, and be a confident user with Excel.
