Job Description
This position is based in Oxford, responsibilities include:
3. Assist with Quarterly VAT Returns and the annual Partial Exemption adjustment
· Prepare and post endowment gains/losses and movement journals on a monthly and quarterly basis· Prepare and post nominal ledger journals, including depreciation and ad-hoc adjustments· Review creditors, debtors, and balance sheet items, making adjustments as necessary· Support month-end routines, including analysis of variances and commentary against budget· Post pension scheme and subsidiary journals· Assist with statutory year-end accounts and respond to audit queries· Produce monthly and quarterly financial reports for budget holders and senior managers· Help prepare cashflow forecasts
The Successful Applicant
You will be:· A Qualified Accountant· Can commute daily into central Oxford· Confident working with journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting independently· Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities· Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software· A good understanding of SORP
