About the Role
As a Continuous Improvement Manager within our Caerphilly branch, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of our responsive repair service in the Cardiff location. Your responsibilities include meeting all Key Performance Indicators, driving innovation, and continuous improvement within your areas of responsibility. You will oversee operatives and subcontractors to ensure high standards of work and service.
* Monitor and control all work undertaken within a geographical or property type contract area, conducting pre- and post-inspections as required.
* Mentor operatives and trainees, ensuring all Health & Safety guidelines are met.
* Monitor progress and completion of work from operatives and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project briefs.
* Manage operatives and subcontractors to meet company standards of work, customer service, and safety procedures.
* Maximize contract performance against KPIs, minimize defaults and penalties, and ensure high customer satisfaction to achieve contract value.
Role Criteria
* Experience working in social housing
* Experience supervising operatives and subcontractors
* Knowledge of repairs and maintenance
* Excellent communication skills
* People management skills
* Negotiating skills
* Trade, management, or health and safety qualifications are desirable
Candidates should be aware that all roles are subject to relevant DBS/security checks before or upon employment commencement.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be over 21, have held your license for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
