We are recruiting for a passionate and resilient SEMH & SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Secondary Alternative Provision in Northampton. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with additional needs, helping them overcome barriers, rebuild confidence, and re-engage with education.
You will play a key role in creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel understood, motivated, and encouraged to succeed.
The Role
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEN, SEMH and special needs
* Support behaviour management and emotional regulation
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
* Build positive relationships with students and staff
* Encourage independence, confidence, and personal development
What We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviour
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* A calm, patient, and proactive approach
* Ability to build trust and positive connections with young people
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
