Join to apply for the Registered Nurse/ODP – Cardiac Scrub role at NHS Scotland.
This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse / ODP to join the Cardiac scrub team within the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital. The hospital supports NHS Scotland to deliver Heart and Lung services, high volume elective surgery, and national programs including the Scottish Adult Congenital Cardiac Service, Scottish Advanced Heart Failure Service, and the National Organ Retrieval Service.
You will be part of a pioneering team scrubbing for required Basic Cardiac procedures and will have opportunities to learn with support across Adult Congenital Procedures and Heart Failure Service activities (e.g., Heart Transplant, Mechanical Support Programme, and related cardiology/extraction procedures). The site currently has 15 theatres, with 4 dedicated to Cardiac surgery. The Perioperative nursing team emphasises person-centred care and is central to the work delivered by the teams here. Flexible working, including on‑call rotas overnight and at weekends, is required for these roles.
