We are looking for an Environmental Enforcement Officer.
Job Summary:
* Respond rapidly to incidents of environmental concern reported by elected members, senior managers, and the public. Make decisions on appropriate actions, including enforcement such as issuing fixed penalty notices.
* Lead prosecution efforts against individuals or businesses breaching legislation or regulations.
* Manage and supervise the Environmental Rapid Response Team.
* Collaborate with other teams within Public Protection & Community Safety for consistent enforcement.
Essential Requirements:
* A relevant qualification plus 2 years of post-qualification experience.
* Experience in enforcement related to environmental health issues.
* Experience in supervising and managing staff.
* Knowledge of evidential requirements for enforcement and prosecution.
* Experience in preparing and presenting enforcement case files.
Hours:
37 hours per week.
