About Market Rocket
Market Rocket is a London-based Amazon growth agency representing 100+ globally recognised brands and high-growth challengers across a broad range of categories. We partner with household names and market disruptors to build Amazon as a commercially accountable channel, integrating paid media with account management, SEO, conversion-led content, and high-converting creative. Client relationships sit at the centre of how we work.
The Role
We are hiring an Amazon SEO, AEO & GEO Specialist to own product discoverability and search performance across our client portfolio. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who combines five strengths:
* The ability to build and manage comprehensive keyword universes using multiple research tools, and translate that research into listings that rank, index, convert, and surface.
* Confident knowledge of how Amazon's discovery systems work today. Not legacy A9/A10 keyword matching, but COSMO's knowledge graph, Rufus's AI shopping assistant, and the intent-based signals that now drive search relevance.
* Strong analytical capability. You are comfortable working with large datasets, exports, and reports. You can pull apart CVR and CTR data, keyword ranking trends, and market basket analysis, and turn it into clear decisions.
* Awareness of how product discovery is shifting and how AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews are shaping how consumers research purchases.
* Confidence in a client-facing environment. You will present findings, walk through keyword strategies, explain ranking changes, and be the specialist clients trust on everything related to discoverability, surfacing and how their products are found.
This role is new. You will shape the discipline within the agency, build the playbooks, and work closely with our account managers and advertisers to raise the standard of every listing and keyword strategy we deliver.
We value attention to detail, curiosity about how AI systems are changing search, and the ability to use AI tools as a multiplier. If that sounds like you, this is a genuine opportunity to define a new function inside a high-growth agency working with some of the most recognised brands on Amazon.
Search Ranking, Indexing & Keyword Strategy
* Build comprehensive keyword universes across catalogues using SQP, Data Dive, Helium 10, Sponsored Ads search term reports, AMC query outputs, and our internally built keyword tools.
* Tier keywords by priority, map them to listing fields, and distribute them strategically across titles, bullets, descriptions, backend search terms, and subject matter fields without duplication.
* Audit keyword indexing across all listing fields, identify gaps, fix suppression issues, and ensure every product is correctly indexed for the terms that drive traffic and revenue.
* Track keyword rankings both organically and through advertising. Build keyword ranking heatmaps that show movement over time and highlight where action is needed.
* Understand the relationship between listing copy and advertising performance. The keywords you index for, the way you write titles and bullets, and the conversion rate of the PDP all directly impact ad efficiency, CPC, and campaign profitability. You will work closely with the advertising team to ensure listing optimisation and paid media strategy are aligned.
* Populate all discoverability and product enrichment attributes across Seller Central and Vendor Central. These feed directly into how Amazon categorises, surfaces, and recommends products.
Listing Optimisation & Content
* Audit and write product listings (titles, bullet points, descriptions, backend search terms, A+ Content) that are structured for COSMO's knowledge graph and Rufus's retrieval pipeline. Excellent copywriting and written communication skills are essential. Every word in a listing earns its place.
* Every listing must be built to rank, index, convert, and surface. Content quality directly impacts CTR, CVR, ad efficiency, COSMO's relevance scoring, and whether Rufus and external AI platforms recommend the product.
* Produce image briefs, A+ module specifications, and Q&A seed content that serve both human shoppers and AI systems.
* Use market basket data to understand co-purchase relationships and inform listing content, cross-sell opportunities, and keyword strategy.
COSMO, Rufus & AI-Driven Discovery
* Learn how COSMO's knowledge graph interprets product content, how it generates intent associations from search-buy and co-buy behaviour, and how to optimise listings so COSMO has rich material to reason about. Be able to confidently explain this to clients and the wider team.
* Know what data sources Rufus draws from (titles, bullets, A+ Content, reviews, Q&A, images), how its retrieval pipeline works, and how to structure content so Rufus recommends our clients' products accurately. Be the person who can walk a client through why this matters and what we are doing about it.
* Connect the dots between conversion rate, click-through rate, product classification, and how these feed back into COSMO's sampling and relevance scoring. These are not separate workstreams. They are connected, and you need to be able to articulate that connection clearly.
Data Analysis & Reporting
* Analyse large datasets, exports, and reports to inform decisions. That includes CVR and CTR analysis at ASIN and keyword level, SQP click and purchase share data, search term performance, and any bulk export that tells us what is and is not working.
* Build keyword ranking heatmaps and share of voice tracking that the team and clients can act on.
* Produce client-facing reports and slide decks that present findings clearly, explain what has changed and why, and recommend specific next steps. Use event stakes to mark the dates of listing changes, keyword updates, and optimisation actions so their impact on metrics can be tracked and measured..
* Track organic rank, keyword indexing status, CVR, CTR, Share of Voice, and AI citation visibility across platforms.
AEO & GEO
* Structure product and brand content so that AI-powered answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Claude) can extract, cite, and recommend our clients' products when consumers ask buying questions.
* Monitor where brands appear and where they do not in AI-generated answers. Develop strategies to close visibility gaps.
* Build and maintain the agency's approach to AI-driven discoverability. You will define the playbook for making that happen.
Client & Cross-Team Collaboration
* Join client calls and meetings as the SEO and discoverability specialist. Present keyword strategies, ranking data, listing recommendations, and AI visibility findings with clarity and confidence.
* Build trusted client relationships through consistency, proactive communication, and being the person they turn to for anything related to how their products are found.
* Work closely with account managers and advertisers to ensure listing content, keyword strategy, and paid media are aligned. Listing copy impacts ad performance. Advertising data informs keyword strategy. These cannot operate in silos.
* Contribute to internal standards, documentation, and playbook development across the agency.
Core Requirements
* UK-based and can commute to our central London office at least once a week.
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical, thorough approach to work.
* Comfortable analysing large datasets: search term reports, SQP exports, bulk keyword data, CVR and CTR analysis at scale.
* Experience building keyword universes using multiple research tools (SQP, Helium 10, Data Dive, Sponsored Ads reports, or similar).
* Understanding of keyword indexing, ranking, and how Amazon determines search relevance.
* Experience writing or editing Amazon product content (Seller Central, Vendor Central, or both).
* Good communication and presentation skills. Able to explain technical SEO and data findings to clients and non-technical colleagues clearly.
* Ability to build and upload Amazon flat files.
* Knowledge of backend search term logic and Amazon's keyword suppression behaviour.
* Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation).
* Able to produce clear, well-structured reports and slide decks.
Bonus/Preferred Skills
* Awareness of how COSMO and Rufus have changed Amazon's discovery systems beyond legacy A9/A10 keyword matching.
* Familiarity with AMC (Amazon Marketing Cloud) data and queries.
* Understanding of how AI answers and search platforms select and cite sources.
* Familiarity with AI workflows.
For the right person, the growth opportunities within Market Rocket are significant. If you are ready to bring your skills, curiosity, and energy to a high-growth agency in a high-growth industry, we would love to hear from you.
