Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Outreach Service, primarily providing evening support for people with learning disabilities or autism. Outreach workers will facilitate social groups and activities such as Bowling, Women’s group, Men’s group, Spectrum Film Club, MAGSS (Gaming) group, Social Club, Quiz and Bingo nights, and Breakfast Club.
Outreach workers will operate within Adult Day Services, collaborating with our established team based at the Allander Resource Centre, the Outlook Community Based team, and the Local Area Coordinators. They will support the enhancement and delivery of opportunities and outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities or autism.
Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities or autism is required.
A full Driving License is desirable but not essential, as the role involves traveling to various community locations for groups.

PVG / Disclosure Scotland
This role requires PVG/Disclosure checks in accordance with East Dunbartonshire Council policies.
Candidates applying for regulated roles under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed. The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary, or in some cases, in installments from wages post-employment, with approval from HR & OD. If employment ends before full deduction, the remaining amount will be deducted from the final salary.
This requirement applies to current employees applying for roles with PVG/Disclosure check needs.
