HR Insights Analyst

About the role
As an HR Insights Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in empowering both the People function and the wider business through meaningful, people-focused analytics.
Drawing from a range of HR and non-HR data sources, you’ll deliver tailored reporting and analysis that drives data-led decision-making across the organisation. Your work will help uncover trends, inform strategy, and support key initiatives that shape our workforce and culture.
You’ll collaborate closely with teams across the business to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and used effectively. Alongside your core responsibilities, you’ll be supported in developing your skills in tools such as Excel, Power BI, and other technologies—building your confidence and capability in working with people data.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion, ensuring data privacy and integrity at all times.
* Collect, organise, and analyse data to deliver insightful, evidence-based support across HR and business functions.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to share relevant information and drive aligned outcomes.
* Recommend improvements and help develop processes that support business units, ensuring compliance with governance standards.
* Act as a subject matter expert for HR teams, providing clear guidance on queries and issues, and escalating appropriately when needed.
What you’ll need to have
* Experience with analysing and reporting on large data sets within Excel and other data programmes.
* Be collaborative in your approach, having confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.
* Capability to review current processes and simplify where possible.
* A passion for data storytelling and visualisation, bringing numbers to life in a way that enables understanding and action.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interrogate data and uncover meaningful insights.
It would be great if you also have
* A good knowledge of power BI and other power platform tools
* A basic understanding of a coding language ie. VBA, DAX, R etc
* Previous experience working within a HR environment with an understanding of HR Principles is desirable.
