Family Supervision Worker
Location: Sunderland
Pay: £15.50 - £20 per hour
Start Date: Immediate
⏱ Shift Patterns: 8am-8pm (Day) | 8pm-8am (Night) | 8am-11pm + Sleep-in
Role
As a Family Supervision Worker, you will play a vital role in facilitating safe, structured contact between children and their families. You will help ensure that all interactions take place in a positive, supportive, and secure environment, promoting the wellbeing of everyone involved.
Responsibilities
* Promote safe, healthy, and positive interactions between children and parents
* Encourage appropriate routines, boundaries, and effective communication
* Produce clear, accurate, and objective contact reports and observations
* Support children's emotional wellbeing throughout each session
* Maintain professional, respectful, and non-judgemental relationships with families
* Ensure all sessions are well-managed, structured, and conducted safely

Requirements
* A calm, compassionate, and professional approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Emotional resilience and confidence in managing challenging situations
* Excellent attention to detail, particularly when completing reports
* Experience within social care, family support, or children's services
* Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent) - desirable
* A valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
* A full UK driving licence is advantageous due to travel between locations
