Position: Mechanical Engineer

Hours: 12-hour shifts, 4 on / 4 off – Days Only
Contract: Full-time, permanent
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join a forward-thinking recycling and renewable energy facility in Doncaster. Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair plant and machinery to ensure smooth operation.
Deliver planned preventative maintenance and lubrication schedules across pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and other assets.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure all tasks are completed safely.
Respond to SCADA process alarms and complete corrective actions.
Tackle reactive maintenance tasks, logging all work accurately and completing required check sheets.
Support external contractors and service providers when on site.
Install, upgrade, and maintain equipment with minimal disruption to operations.
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and attend relevant training.
Contribute to site projects, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For Time-served Mechanical Engineer with experience in industrial, process, or heavy manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and associated plant.
Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently within a busy, fast-paced environment.
Safety-conscious with experience in risk assessments and compliance.
