Job Description
We are currently partnering with a not-for-profit organisation based in Wakefield, who are recruiting for a Payroll Officer to join their team on a temporary basis with an initial contract length of 3 months.
This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of £19.92 via an umbrella company.
The role is due to start ASAP and hybrid working is available.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Processing two monthly payrolls, one covering 3,000 employees, another covering 1,000
* Inputting variable e.g. add hours, sleep-ins and on-calls
* Calculating sickness deductions/payments, backdated pat, cost splits, incremental rises, changes in hours leaver payments and all other variable data relating to pay
* Processing and checking of all starter and leaver information
* Calculating and monitoring all statutory payments and ensuring current legislation is adhered to
* Administering company’s benefits
* Producing and distributing twice monthly payroll reports to relevant staff and dealing with all queries
