Overview
To maintain the upkeep and growing of the plants along with picking of the fruit within a greenhouse environment, picking tomatoes, pruning, twisting, lowering of the plants, various cleaning and removal of plants is required throughout the season, in line with the client’s guidelines.
Responsibilities
* Maintain upkeep and growth of plants in a greenhouse; pick fruit, including tomatoes; prune, twist, and lower plants; perform cleaning and removal of plants as required.
* Place picked fruit in crates on a trolley; may require use of scissor lifts and forklifts; full training will be provided.
* Follow a clean-as-you-go policy, ensuring the work area and surrounding areas are kept clean and free of obstructions and potential hazards.
* Act in a professional and courteous manner with work colleagues, supervisors and visitors.
* Achieve individual performance at the necessary required output levels.
* Carry out duties requested in a willing and helpful manner.
