Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer to join our friendly team who provide exceptional support and assistance to a lovely 35 year old lady with special needs. Support takes place both in her home in Macclesfield and in the community, where she enjoys attending various social groups.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing her quality of life by providing personal care, medical support, and companionship. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working within a supportive team.
Responsibilities
* Assist client with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
* Administer medication accurately according to care plans and document all relevant information diligently.
* Attend to light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Provide specialised care.
* Accompany client to appointments or errands as required.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any incidents or concerns.
* Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary and escalate issues appropriately.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in nursing homes, care homes, or home care environments is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration is desirable.
* Valid driving licence for transporting client safely is desirable.
* Strong communication skills with a caring attitude is essential.
