As we enter an exciting period of growth, we are seeking our very first in house HR and Talent Manager to join our team to align our HR strategy with business goals. You’ll be supported by our external HR provider, however you will act as the first point of contact for the team, manage recruitment and talent development and provide support on HR issues.To this end, this is a strategic and operational role, and would suit an individual with a can-do attitude who is willing to roll up their sleeves and help to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
1.Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
* Work with managers to align talent acquisition and development strategies with broader business goals.
* Partner with hiring managers to attract and recruit top-tier talent across retail and office functions.
* Lead the end-to-end recruitment process including job postings, interviews, offer management, and onboarding.
* Ensure all onboarding processes are compliant with legal requirements (e.g., Right to Work checks) and aligned with company culture and values.
* Work with brand ambassadors and trainers to implement learning and development strategies to support employee growth and capability building.
* Support with training needs analysis and coordinate internal and external training courses.
* Support career development, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
3.Performance & Capability Management
* Drive the annual performance review process and coach managers on effective feedback and goal-setting practices.
* Identify high-potential employees and create tailored development plans to support their progression.
4.Employee Relations, Engagement & Culture
* Serve as a point of contact for all employee queries, providing guidance and support.
* Manage and resolve employee relations issues with external advisor support as required on complex matters.
* Contribute to initiatives to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
* Organise engagement activities and feedback mechanisms to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
* CIPD Level 5 or above.
* Proven experience as a standalone HR Manager, ideally with experience of luxury retail.
* Sound knowledge and experience in talent acquisition and development, ideally within the luxury goods market.
* Solid grasp of UK employment legislation
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced start up environment.
* Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
