Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and dependable Fostering Manager for our North West & North East teams based between our offices in Warrington & Sunderland. The successful applicant will report directly to the Regional Director and work with a team of social workers, foster carers and looked after children throughout the North West & North East regions.
.The applicant must have a minimum of 5 years management experience in the fostering sector and be SWE registered. The successful applicant will have exceptional interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of managing teams and safeguarding of children successfully.
The successful applicant must have a passion for children and young people, excellent organisational skills and be able to meet deadlines, working under pressure when required.
Responsibilities
- Supervision of both teams with team manager, senior social workers, social workers and support worker;
- Leading and managing a variety of organisational meetings such as team meetings, learning circles, carer support groups, appraisal meetings, etc
- Supporting the recruitment process of new foster families;
- Quality Assurance aspects relating to various areas of the agency;
- To attend the fostering panel as a UK Fostering representative.
- Monthly report for the Director on performance of the team.
- Notifications of events listed in Schedules (fostering regulations 2011)
- Conducting audits and ensuring statutory requirements are met at all times;
- Monitoring and complying with all safeguarding aspects;
- Participation in delivering of training for foster carers;
- Flexible working and out of hours support to carers.
