Job Vacancy Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership are pleased to offer an opportunity for 18 months as Executive Business Manager for the Partnership. The postholder will be responsible for the leadership of a Business team and admin services, as well as hold key portfolios relating to Business, such as risk movement, health and safety, workforce and supporting service redesign and transformation. The postholder will work as part of the senior leadership team to support delivery of health and social care in Midlothian, in order to design and deliver models of care within the community to support Midlothian residents to be cared for within a local setting. A degree level qualification in a relevant related discipline or evidence of equivalent competency is required. A proven track record of gathering and analysing statistical data to assess performance, ideally utilising systems providing predictive data is required. A post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject area and senior membership of an appropriate professional body are desirable. Experience of service planning, staff and resource management in a multi-disciplinary organisation demonstrating creative and innovative service development and problem solving is essential. Project management experience demonstrating good interpersonal skills, together with a clear understanding of the regulatory framework within which public services operate is also essential. A track record demonstrating innovative thinking along with successful project delivery involving stakeholders from multiple organisations is also desirable. CLOSING DATE - Monday 22nd December 2025 INTERVIEW DATE - Wednesday 7th January 2026 Job Advert Position Title: Executive Business Manager Directorate: Health and Social Care Location: Fairfield House Contract Status: Fixed Term for 18 months from start date Hours of Work: 36 Working Pattern: Monday - Friday Weeks per year: 52 Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale. Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £61,332.37 per annum. Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard. This requires completion of a disclosure check for all employees who can access official information. The fee for this PSN Disclosure check will be met by you. Please note that Disclosure Scotland has changed the way disclosure certificates are issued. You will be notified by email from Disclosure Scotland that your certificate is available to view. Once you have viewed your certificate you will be allowed to share this with your employer and it is only available for 14 days from the first day you have viewed the certificate. If you do not grant access to Midlothian Council to view before access is removed, a further application will need to be generated, and this will incur an additional cost.
