As they continue to grow steadily, they are in need of an enthusiastic Senior HR Generalist to handle their day-to-day people operations from start to finish. You'll work directly with the Managing Director.
Senior HR Generalist Role
This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll cover all aspects of HR in a friendly, no-nonsense environment. From helping with recruitment and getting new starters settled in, to maintaining employee records and handling the occasional workplace query, you'll be the go-to person for all things people-related. It's perfect for someone who enjoys variety and wants to make a genuine difference in a business that cares about its team.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Manage HR queries - helping employees and managers with practical advice and support
* Handle recruitment from start to finish, including posting jobs, interviewing, and getting new team members up and running
* Keep employee files organised and up-to-date, ensuring we meet all the legal requirements
* Support with the occasional employee relations matter (though thankfully these are rare in their positive environment!)
* Drive HR project and initiatives
* Take care of general HR admin and make sure everything runs smoothly day-to-day
Your Profile
* Experience in a generalist HR role with solid knowledge of basic employment law and HR best practices
* CIPD qualification is nice to have but definitely not essential - practical experience and the right attitude is more greatly valued.
* Great people skills and the ability to get along with everyone from the shop floor to senior management
* A practical, common-sense approach with the confidence to work independently
* Previous experience as the only HR person in a business would be ideal
