Job Title: MGPS (Medical Gas Pipeline System) Service Engineer\nLocation: North West England (Field-Based)\nSalary: £45,000 per annum\nHours: 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday)\nOvertime: Paid at 1.5x standard rate\nBenefits: Company vehicle with reasonable personal use, fuel card, pension scheme, ongoing training and development\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nA specialist healthcare engineering organisation is seeking a skilled MGPS Service Engineer to support the maintenance, fault diagnosis, and lifecycle component replacement of medical gas systems across healthcare environments.\n\nThis role plays a key part in ensuring safety and regulatory compliance within critical care settings.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on MGPS installations in accordance with HTM 02-01 standards.\n\n * Diagnose and resolve system faults, performing necessary adjustments or part replacements.\n\n * Carry out lifecycle replacements, including terminal units, AVSUs, valves, and alarm panels.\n\n * Accurately complete service documentation and maintain compliance records.\n\n * Collaborate with estates and clinical staff to plan and execute works safely.\n\n * Support system upgrades and minor modifications with technical input.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Demonstrable experience servicing MGPS systems within live healthcare settings.\n\n * Strong understanding of HTM 02-01 and relevant medical gas safety regulations.\n\n * Certification to Competent Person (CP) or Authorised Person (AP) level for MGPS.\n\n * Professional, courteous conduct in clinical environments.\n\n * Full UK driving licence.\n\nDesirable:\n\n * Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).\n\n * Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends (paid overtime).\n\nPackage Includes:\n\n * £45,000 annual salary\n\n * 39-hour work week\n\n * Overtime at 1.5x standard rate\n\n * Company vehicle (reasonable personal use permitted)\n\n * Fuel card, tools, uniform, and PPE provided\n\n * Pension scheme\n\n * Ongoing training and CPD
