Role Overview
The role is based at Cromwell Hospital in the South Kensington area of London. The Paediatric Outpatient Department sees an average of 80 patients a day across most specialties, and the Paediatric ward has 11 beds with potential expansion. All patients are short‑stay from medical or surgical cases (orthopaedics, ENT, urology). The Bank Paediatric Staff Nurse will be part of a multi‑disciplinary team delivering holistic, family‑centred care and providing nursing care via assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
What You’ll Do
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised quality patient care.
* Ensure nursing practice is of the highest standard in line with Cromwell Hospital policies, CQC requirements and NMC standards.
* Respect people’s rights to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
* Work with the multi‑disciplinary team and collaboratively ensure appropriate care is provided.
* Participate in team and ward meetings.
* Supply and administer medication safely in line with hospital policy.
* Assess and support patients with their adherence and understanding of medication.
* Be responsible for, and demonstrate personal professional development, maintain up to date clinical skills and ensure mandatory training is always current.
* Keep clear and accurate records following NMC standards of documentation.
