Responsibilities:
1. Provide strategic leadership and direction on the implementation of J&J IM’s government affairs strategy in the UK.
2. Interact with government officials, parliamentarians, and system stakeholders to represent J&J IM’s priorities and maintain patient access.
3. Support the Director of Health Affairs in building and executing a coherent government affairs strategy.
4. Engage on government policy initiatives such as Industrial Strategy, NHS 10-year plan, and budget discussions.
5. Represent J&J IM within trade bodies and industry groups.
6. Maintain relationships with key external stakeholders including Ministers, Civil Servants, Parliamentarians, Think Tanks, and Academia.
7. Contribute to patient access strategies and develop effective networks.
8. Become a core member of therapeutic area cross-functional teams to implement impactful government affairs plans.
9. Interpret developments in government and health policy, identifying opportunities and threats.
10. Manage risks and provide counsel on government and healthcare system policies.
11. Develop briefing documents, presentations, and communication materials.
12. Manage third-party agencies to deliver projects on time and within budget.
13. Stay updated on NHS, government, and third sector policies through literature, conferences, and discussions.
