Specialist SEND Teaching Opportunity
An inclusive alternative provision in Glastonbury is seeking a passionate SEND Teacher to join their committed staff team from September 2026 on a full-time permanent basis.
The provision supports pupils aged 14 to 16 who have experienced trauma, exclusion from mainstream education and significant social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
Staff create a structured and nurturing atmosphere where pupils are encouraged to rebuild trust, resilience and self-belief.
About the Role
You will deliver engaging lessons within small classes, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning profiles and emotional needs.
The role requires strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to helping vulnerable young people reconnect with education.
You will play a key role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally while promoting confidence, independence and future aspirations.
Responsibilities
• Deliver differentiated and engaging lessons

• Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs

Candidate Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or SEMH needs
• Strong classroom management skills
• Patient and adaptable approach
• Ability to inspire disengaged learners
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
