Our client in the Havant area is seeking an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Process) Engineering Lead for a Reservoir project. The role involves supporting the Engineering Manager in delivering this landmark infrastructure development by managing design reviews, technical queries, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and contractual timelines. The MEP Engineering Lead will oversee specific work packages, act as the technical lead on smaller project components, and ensure accurate data availability for contractors. The role also includes engaging with internal teams and stakeholders to align solutions and contributing to the development of engineering assurance systems and processes.
What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities
* Chair regular meetings with the Design Guardians to discuss lookahead, open actions, and ongoing issues.
* Manage responses to Technical Queries and Design Submissions from main contractors, liaising with stakeholders.
* Monitor and assess the Design Guardian's performance against KPIs, providing feedback.
* Coordinate requests on engineering matters between contractors.
* Participate in collaborative planning with Main Works Contractors.
* Chair weekly meetings with Operations to resolve outstanding queries.
* Lead technical workshops to ensure alignment on proposed solutions.
* Represent engineering at Early Warning meetings for response or resolution.
* Provide regular updates to the HTR Engineering Manager on progress and issues.
* Review Contractors' Programmes monthly to inform resource forecasting.
* Manage or produce engineering papers for stakeholder engagement and governance.
* Attend meetings with the HTR Engineering Manager.

* Strong communication and presentation skills.

* Ability to work to deadlines, focusing on results and quality.
* High competency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
* Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field.
* Experience in design management.
Hours:
38 hours per week.
* Non-contractual bonus up to 6% of basic salary based on company performance.
