About the Post
The Student Life Assistants are the dynamic and welcoming first point of contact and public face of the University providing excellent frontline customer service to all visitors, prospective and current students, and staff. Through in-person and digital communications the team provide a wide range of information and guidance.
Student Life Assistants will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will deliver accurate, inclusive, and timely information, advice, and guidance (IAG) on a wide range of topics in a way that reflects and respects the diverse needs of our student body and the wide range of visitors to the university.
About the Team
The Directorate of Student Life enhances the student experience of all learners by providing support, resources, and opportunities for personal and academic growth. Student Services provide frameworks for students to engage with their studies, while welfare focused services underpin a supportive, safe, and enriching environment which meets the expectations of stakeholders.
The Student Centre and Reception is the first point of contact for prospective students, current students, internal stakeholders, and the general public to receive advice, assistance, and support.
About You
You will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple tasks or activities at one time. You will have experience of dealing with a range of customers in a busy environment and provide excellent customer service.
