Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine (WSI) in Toxicology
Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust invites applications for the role of Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine (WSI) in Toxicology. This is a substantive, 75:25 ICM‑lean position based principally at MMUH, with the possibility of providing services at other sites.

Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the daily operation of our 24/7 consultant‑covered ICU, participating in non‑resident on‑call rota, managing critically ill patients and engaging in multidisciplinary teamwork.
* Provide expert clinical toxicology services, including day‑time and on‑call cover for the West Midlands Poisons Unit.
* Supervise educational activities, contribute to quality, safety and governance within both ICU and toxicology teams.
* Support policy development, management, governance and staff training in clinical toxicology.
Qualifications & Experience
* GMC Specialist Register in Intensive Care Medicine (or eligible within six months of interview date).
* Broad training and experience in both critical care and clinical toxicology.
* Post‑graduate qualifications or demonstrable expertise in clinical toxicology.
* Additional clinical or diagnostic skills which enhance the team are desirable.
