This role is for a 3-year contract to start asap.

Monday - Friday - salary is £33,854.
37 hours per week.


Your new role

The core function of this job is to make sure that buildings and their services meet the needs of the people that work in them or use our buildings as part of the wider visitor experience. You will be responsible for ensuring that facilities are legallypliant, meeting the health and safety, environmental and security regulations and standards applicable to them.

Reporting to the district’s Building Surveyor you will be responsible forpleting and overseeing buildingpliance tasks, to ensure buildings within the District are safe, efficient and operating as intended. As the Facilities andpliance Officer, you will be the vital link between site teams of operational, administrative and office staff and the Estates team.

What you'll need to succeed

1. IWFM Associate member (or similar professional membership RICS or CIBSE) with delivery experience or demonstrable experience in delivery of professional building/facilities management, specificallypliance management with a higher national qualification or degree
2. Good understanding of statutory propertypliance and the associated H&S requirements
3. An understanding of the CDM 2015 regulations and associated roles and responsibilities
4. Supervising construction works on site related to facilities management
5. Ability to prioritise and accordingly plan, organise and co-ordinate your workload without direction
6. An excellentmunicator, with demonstrable experience in clearly and conciselymunicating both verbally and in writing, including in relation to technical information
7. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and contractors
8. Demonstrable experience of being adaptable, taking your own initiative and problem solving, via a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and desire to get the job done
9. Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
10. Experience of producing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements
11. A full driving licence that enables unrestricted driving in the UK
