As Accommodation Officer you will offer a friendly service that’s deals with immediate support needs, housing relating support and guidance in dealing with homelessness, and associated support needs. The Service works closely with individuals and families within our Temporary Accommodation, no matter of anyone’s background, our core values always include Equality & Diversity, Encouragement & Empowerment, Safeguarding vulnerable Adults & Children and delivering a person centred service. Our aim is to create a safe, secure environment for people and their families living in our Temporary Accommodation Service. The Key roles of our Accommodation Officers will be to support and work as a team within MDC’s Homelessness & Homefinder Services, to support clients with a variety of multi complex needs, welfare entitlements, securing permanent housing and resettlement into their new homes. This role will have a focus on our resettlement support. The Accommodation Officers are responsible for effectively managing and maintaining the conditions within our accommodation units both with residents and with void units, this will require Accommodation Officers to clear, clean, move furniture and ensuring void units are ready for the next placement. Enhanced DBS clearance is required for the post. Full induction and training will be provided. Closing date: 1 March 2026
