Responsibilities
* Deliver persuasive verbal and written representations on behalf of clients.
* Collaborate with public and voluntary organisations to address client issues.
* Take directed actions to resolve client concerns.
* Exhibit flexibility, strong communication, and confidential handling of sensitive information.
Location and hours
Location: Home-based with travel around Hertfordshire.
Hours: Full-time 37 hours, 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday. Part-time arrangements may be discussed on application.
Requirements
* Independent Advocate qualifications or working towards; City & Guilds Level 4 IAP is preferred. Employer sponsorship available to obtain IAP after probation and pre-enrolment, with study time provided.
* Full driving licence and access to own transport (UK).
* Excellent IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to use client management databases.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Desirable
* Experience in advocacy within mental health, social care, or related legal frameworks.
* Experience working with vulnerable adults who may have difficulty speaking up for themselves.
* Knowledge of public and voluntary sector organisations.
* Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
Salary and contract
Salary: £24,242.40 per annum (part-time pro-rata).
Contract Type: Permanent.
