We are currently recruiting for a Technology Operations Manager to be a part of our IT Operations team! This role could be ideal for you if you enjoy working with stakeholders and leading a team. The role offers the opportunity to work with our 2 suppliers (TCS and Sapiens) and build an organisation of the future capable of supporting and enabling the platform to continue deliver business outcomes on a regular basis.
A bit about the job:
The Technology Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing our IT Operations team, ensuring the stability and availability of non-production environments critical to our engineering community. You will also lead the strategic transition of team resourcing to our trusted partner, while refining responsibilities to enhance operational efficiency.
The IT Operations team is responsible for facilitating timely delivery of critical items, automating manual tasks, optimizing performance through strategic changes, and facilitating the seamless transition to Azure Cloud services. As the Technology Operations Manager, you would need have some understanding with this along with managing the coordination in the platform centralised run team and work closely with stakeholders.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
* Proficiency in translating business requirements into technical outcomes with a strong business acumen, with the ability to dig into and understand complex technical challenges and their implications on business operations
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner. Proficiency in Azure PaaS concepts and related technologies. Microsoft Certification (such as Azure Fundamentals AZ-900) is desired but not required
* In-depth knowledge of industry best practice of business protection controls and compliance standards which can be used to identify areas of improvement for Aviva (where/if we fall short)
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their full potential
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and challenge when necessary

* Salary national £60,000 - London £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
