What you’ll do on a typical day:
Reporting any serious deviation from plan quickly and accurately to the Shift Manager
* Ensure that Quality, Health, Safety and Environment standards are maintained, site rules and regulations are adhered to and that all accidents are reported immediately to the Shift Manager
* To ensure that the areas of operational responsibility run in line with plans and are completed on schedule to the standards required by the company and the customer
* Daily supervision of a team of operatives and agency staff in the department.
* Comply with NSF/BRC standards
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Experience in leading a team within a fast-paced warehouse operation
* FMCG / food/ Retail or similar background
Proven basic literacy and numeracy skills at Secondary school level Knowledge of the legal requirements applicable to HACCP regulations Excellent communication skills with ability to perform under pressure and use initiative Team player and Customer focused
